A Quick Word About Voter Guides:
I am not connected to any political group, and I have never requested to appear in any partisan materials. These groups make their own decisions about what they publish, as stated on their website. Applying party labels to a nonpartisan race is misleading, and I reject that approach. I remain independent in both my thinking and my campaign.
How We Ended Up In Oconomwoc:
We could have chosen anywhere to build our life together. I grew up in Milwaukee, and my wife is from the suburbs of Chicago. After college, I moved to the Boston area while she moved to Charleston, SC. We eventually both landed in Arizona, where we met and married. So when it came time to choose where to raise a family, we had options across the country.
We chose Oconomowoc for the same reasons so many others do — its character, its community, and its promise. The city continues to grow because it is a place people want to call home.
We first moved to Pabst Farms in 2021, but having lived in urban areas most of our lives, the rapid growth there wasn’t the right fit for us. In 2022, we moved to District One — our district — and immediately felt at home. My commitment is to protect what makes this district special while serving the broader Oconomowoc community.
Why I’m Running for District One Alderman:
My approach to any project is rooted in gathering as much information and input as possible from the people affected by the outcome. I believe in crowdsourcing ideas, listening first, and building solutions from a wide range of perspectives.
This philosophy guided me in 2024 when a high‑density housing project — the NE Apartments at CTH P & CTH K — was proposed. After speaking with neighbors and communicating with our District One Aldermen, I organized a petition, wrote a speech which I emailed to the Common Council, and spoke before them directly. You can view the petition and the speech in the at the top of the page.
I act when something matters, and I stand up for what I believe in.
I believe in the future of Oconomowoc — for current residents and for the next generation. To support open communication, I’ve shared a dedicated email and phone number below so residents can reach me directly. If you have concerns, questions, or ideas, I want to hear them.
My Priorities for Oconomowoc:
My vision for Oconomowoc centers on three priorities. Most issues we face today — and those on the horizon — fall within these areas. While I have core beliefs, I represent the residents of District One, and your voice matters. Call, text, or email me anytime. Transparency and direct communication are essential to how I serve.
1) Affordability
I’ve always been thrifty by nature, and I believe in stretching every dollar to maximize impact. While housing costs have become unmanageable for many, we can manage our city budget responsibly to provide high‑quality services without adding to the financial burden on residents.
2) Community
Community is what drew us to Oconomowoc. Preserving the safe, small‑town, family‑friendly feel is essential. This includes best in class services for all - from the OASD to the OASC. While previously approved projects cannot be undone, we can take a balanced approach moving forward — one that recognizes the realities of growth while protecting the character of our neighborhoods. High‑density housing has its place, but District One was not the right location for it. My guiding principle is simple: I am not against anything — I am for Oconomowoc.
3) Safety
Safety extends beyond our outstanding First Responders and ensuring they have the resources they need. It includes infrastructure — how we design it, how we manage it, and how we prepare for the growth already underway. Roads are only as safe as the traffic controls that support them. Thoughtful planning will be critical as we balance today’s needs with tomorrow’s challenges.
With over a decade of experience in analytics, management, and operations, I am equipped to evaluate complex issues and identify objective, effective solutions for Oconomowoc District One. My wife, a public‑school teacher who has taught in the Oconomowoc School District, provides valuable insight into our local schools and the challenges they face.
